Spill Control

Your spill control

Are you prepared to handle any spill situation you encounter?

In the event of a chemical spill, the individual who caused the spill is responsible for prompt and proper clean-up.

Improper clean-up of a chemical spill may result in injury, illness, fire, a release to the environment, or property damage.

Acids, caustics, solvents, formaldehyde… no matter what the spill, make sure you have an ANSUL® SPILL-X® spill treatment agent on hand.

It's the easiest, fastest, and most efficient method to handle a small to medium chemical spill before it becomes a big problem.

SPILL-X-A® agent will neutralize and solidify most organic and inorganic acids, including hydrofluoric acid
SPILL-X-S® agent is a solvent adsorbent for organic materials like benzene or xylene.
SPILL-X-C® agent is a neutralizer and solidifier for caustics such as sodium hydroxide.
SPILL-X-FP® agent polymerizes and solidifies formaldehyde spills.

SPILL-X GUN

SPILL-GUN APPLICATOR®

SPILL-GUN applicators are rugged, easy to use, and can be recharged in the field.

The SC-30 SPILL-GUN applicator (for use with SPILL-X-A, SPILL-X-C, SPILL-X-S agents) applies agent from a distance of 10 to 12 feet (3 to 3.7m) and can treat up to a 3-gallon (11.4L) spill, or 100ft2 (9.3m2).

Effects

SPILL-X-A

←95% sulfuric Acid Neutralized with SPILL-X-A pH9.05

What does it do?

Neutralizes and soildifies organic and inorganic acids such as sulfuric, hydrochloric, nitris and phosphoric. SPILL-X-A agent changes the pH of a hazardous acid spill so it no longer exhibits thr EPA characteristic of corrosivity for hazardous waste.

SPILL-X-S

←50% Sodium Hydroxide Neutralized with SPILL-X-C pH4.94

What does it do?

Neutralizes and soildifies organic and inorganic caustics such as sodium, hydroxide, potassium hydroxide hydroazine and ammonium hydroxide.

SPILL-X-C

←99.9% Heptance Adsorbed with SPILL-X-S

Is adsorption the same as adsorption?

NO! Both adsorbents and absorbents are able to solidify. However, an adsorbent like SPILL-X-S goes beyond solidification. Adsorption creates a physocal bond between the activated carbon and the solvent. This physivcal bond does two things: Elevates the flash point to a less costly waste material. Reduces evaporative losses(i.e,suppresses vapors)

SPILL-X-FP

←37% Formaldehyde Polymerized with SPILL-X-FP

What does it do?

It is speciality that was designed around its reaction with aqueous solitions of formal dehyde.
